The faces ofJamBag : meet the musicians

All trained at the same music school in Tourcoing, the JamBag musicians have known each other for years. At the heart of the band, a quartet. Around it, a family of trusted musicians.

The storyBehind the name

A drummer met at a jam, a guitarist found again thanks to a lost bag: JamBag was born from these two encounters.

Today it is above all a bag we dip into for songs that everyone loves. From classics that bring generations together to today's hits.

The heart of the bandThe quartet

Carl, acoustic guitar in hand

Carl

Vocals, acoustic guitar, founder

Carl founded JamBag when he started out in music, and has never left. He carries the band's vision, builds the repertoire with everyone and looks after every client from the first call to the last song. Sensitive and creative, he has a gift for connecting with an audience, and one simple ambition: that everyone feels good, organisers, guests and musicians alike. His influences range from Ed Sheeran to John Mayer, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Frank Ocean. He also writes his own music as YTOS.

Quentin on electric guitar

Quentin

Electric guitar, backing and lead vocals

A virtuoso musician and an excellent bassist too, Quentin writes the arrangements and leads rehearsals. Charismatic and sunny, he is the band's driving force, and the inventor of the board games that liven up the dressing room between sets. He also performs solo and writes his own songs.

Simon on bass

Simon

Bass

The first musician to join Carl when JamBag went professional, Simon is one of the most in-demand bassists in northern France. At ease in every style and known for his legendary groove, he is a true pillar the whole band can lean on. With Stanley, he forms a tight, close-knit rhythm section.

Stanley, sticks in hand

Stanley

Drums, percussion

Trained in jazz at the conservatoire, Stanley is first and foremost an eclectic drummer, at ease in every style, and a seasoned percussionist. Discreet and rigorous, he always surprises with a joke when you least expect it. He teaches percussion around Lille and works with Simon on several projects, including Gautier (pop/rock originals) and Crème French (French-language covers).

Around the quartetThe family

Each musician has a dedicated stand-in. They share the same repertoire and the same standards, and also join the band for the full line-up. At the desk, trusted sound engineers.

Reynold sings and plays guitar

Reynold

Guitar, backing vocals, Latin songs

Originally from Mexico, Reynold played stadiums with a major cumbia band, then the stages of cruise ships, before settling in northern France. Charming and sunny, a loyal Paul McCartney fan, he brings a Latin touch that gets every generation dancing.

Portrait of Gauthier

Gauthier

Drums

The comedian of the group, with a sense of humour as offbeat as his playing is energetic. Gauthier grew up among hot-air balloons, the family business, and never travels without his faithful sidekick: Stan, a golden retriever who shares our drummer's name. He also writes in French with his band Voban, increasingly followed in northern France.

Timothée on drums under purple light

Timothée

Drums

The youngest of the family, and one of the most organised. Rigorous and full of ideas, in demand with many bands in the region, he has a soft spot for French Touch.

Thomas on drums

Thomas

Drums

Deeply sensitive and full of ideas, Thomas worked in healthcare for a long time before devoting himself to music. Now a much sought-after drummer, he plays in We Are Golden, a Mika tribute, alongside Liselle, and writes with the band Adahy. Close to his loved ones, he also tends his vegetable garden.

Victor on bass

Victor

Bass

Deeply sensitive, in love with groove and funk, with a soft spot for spirituality, Victor spent years on original projects before joining the JamBag family. He also plays in a Katy Perry tribute, and brings a supple, warm foundation.

Mathieu on drums

Mathieu

Sound engineer

A sound engineer for many production companies in the region, Mathieu joins the band when the venue and audience size call for it. A drummer by training and a rap enthusiast, he writes in his home studio and works with up-and-coming artists.

On requestGuest voices

For a special request, or when Carl is unavailable, two trusted voices can join JamBag. They also lead their own projects in the region. Any change of lead voice is introduced and confirmed with you before the event.

Liselle at the mic on stage

Liselle

Vocals

A diva's soul who loves the spotlight. Liselle quickly made her name in the region, with the Orchestre Oxygène at the Dunkirk Carnival, a song and dance show at the Pasino in Saint-Amand, and We Are Golden, a Mika tribute, alongside Thomas. A fiery temperament, natural elegance, and Dua Lipa as inspiration.

Fiona at the mic, on stage

Fiona

Vocals

On stage, Fiona is a real ball of energy, funny, unpredictable and deeply attentive. A renowned singing teacher, she knows how to make every voice shine. She also leads her own band, Disc'over, and draws inspiration from Dionysos.
